[Storyteller] We last left the party deep beneath the surface of Lunar, inside an underground construction of unknown origin. During the fight with some technicians and an automated security system, this group was split from the other half of the party by a massive retaining wall.
Boss Battle! Round One!
* Miriamele draws her weapons...
Boss Battle! Round Two! * Lyle saunters over to the CPU and takes a mighty swing at it. Lyle hits CPU for 0 damage.

Looming above you is a fairly large silver craft. It's larger than quite a few sailing ships, but it has no obvious (at least to you) means of propulsion. At the far end of the bay is a large, glassed-in observation dome. Below that is pair of doors, obviously leading up to the observation dome and to the rest of the facility.
[Miriamele] We should get outta here before something else pops up. :P
* Miriamele glances about..
[Audrey] I agree....
[Will] But the rest is...
* Lyle points to the ceiling.
[Audrey] Finn...Will...lead the way. :)
[Lyle] Too bad that ladder truck is a pancake now.
* Finn sighs.
[Finn] Yeah, too bad indeed.
[Will] I'm.. sorry..
* Finn heads towards the doors.
* Miriamele begins heading towards the doors.
[Miriamele] This looks about the only way out..
* Audrey puts a hand on Will's shoulder.
[Audrey] It's okay.
[Storyteller] The truck obviously got caught on the door as it rose, smashing it against the remnants of the ceiling iris gate.
* Finn tries to open the doors...
[Storyteller] They open on their own with a swish as you walk up to them.
* Audrey jumps back. O_o
[Miriamele] ?!
[Audrey] They opened on their own?
* Finn blinks.
* Miriamele peers cautiously inside..
[Miriamele] I...
[Finn] Magic?
[Miriamele] I.. don't see anyone..
[Audrey] I didn't feel any magic...
[Miriamele] Ghosts? O_O
* Will looks awed.
[Audrey] O_o
* Miriamele creeps in the doorway cautiously and looks around..
[Miriamele] ?
[Audrey] See anything, Miri?
* Miriamele looks mystified..
[Miriamele] Not a thing.. ^_^;
[Will] This must be some form of advanced hydraulics system... I can't believe this! O_o
[Audrey] Hmm...
[Audrey] Hey...what? O_o
* Miriamele takes a better look at this new area..
[Storyteller] There are two openings about 3/4 down the end of the corridor. Plus an identical door all the way down the end.
* Miriamele begins heading towards those openings.
[Miriamele] Nowhere else to go. ^_^;
* Finn walks beside Miri...
* Will follows.
* Audrey walks alongside Will.
[Audrey] This place is rather confusing :/ Doors that open by themselves....strange ladders...funny looking ships of silver....
[Lyle] Isn't it cool?
[Audrey] O_o Cool...? I don't know what's going on!
[Will] Yes. ^^; I don't understand much of it myself...
[Finn] I hardly think this is cool.
[Miriamele] I hope none of the other doors are haunted...
* Finn frowns.
* Finn checks out the openings.
[Lyle] Well, you have no sense of adventure Finn.
* Miriamele peers into the first opening upon reaching it..
[Will] But I do know it's way past anything I'd ever seen before! Myght's lab looks like something out of the stone age compared to this place. ^^;
[Storyteller] They're directly across from each other. They both open into staircases leading upwards. You can't see the tops, because they turn 90 degrees about half way up.
[Finn] Hrm...
* Miriamele scratches her head..
[Miriamele] Hmm..
[Finn] Which one do we take?
[Audrey] Well...at least Will enjoys it. ^_^
* Miriamele listens for noise..
[Audrey] Maybe I will once I know what's going on.
[Storyteller] You hear faint humming and the occasional beep or click.
[Miriamele] Everyone wait here, I'll be back in a second. ^_^;
[Will] Maybe they lead to the silver device we saw out there?
* Miriamele darts stealthily up a flight of stairs to have a look.
[Audrey] Miri...be careful :/
[Storyteller] At the turn in the stairs, you can see up a bit more. They go back the way you came. The glass observation dome is at the far end of the room.
[Finn] She's pretty useful, isn't she?
[Lyle] If you need bait.
[Will] Useful...? What do you mean? ^^;
* Miriamele looks a little bit further..
[Audrey] She's not just useful, she's a friend too. ^_^
[Storyteller] Sticking your head up over the edge, you can see an expansive room.
[Finn] Of course, Audrey. :)
[Audrey] Of course. ^_^
[Finn] A very talented friend, is what I should have said.
* Will scratches his head.
[Will] Where did you say she came from again? ^^;
[Storyteller] At one end is the observation dome, at the other is a bank of flashing lights and other equipment. Scattered in some sort of pattern around the room are a number of workstations and smaller displays.
* Miriamele looks baffled by the electrical things, and decides to return to the group as silently as she visited this room..
[Storyteller] Down near the end with the bank of lights is a large flat table. An image flickers in the air above it, like a poorly done illusion.
* Miriamele lingers another moment longer then..
* Miriamele takes one last look, then goes..
[Miriamele] There's a big room full of... uh, whirring stuff n' other things up there. ^_^ I didn't see any people though..
[Audrey] Whirring things?...oh well...at least no one's there.. ^_^
[Will] Whirring stuff? That must be some kind of control room where they manage this place!
[Finn] Well...let's go fiddle with the whirring things.
[Will] I've got to see that!
[Audrey] Is that wise?
[Finn] Maybe Will will know what to do...
* Will starts in the direction of the stairs. ^_^
[Miriamele] Yeah, whirring things. ^_^; I dunno what they're called.. doodads, thingamajigs... who knows? ^_^;
[Lyle] It wouldn't hurt to look...
* Lyle follows Will.
* Audrey runs after Will!
[Audrey] O_o Slow down! ...am I the only one who is nervous about all this? :/
[Will] Nervous? Why? ^_^
* Lyle reaches to top right after Will, and looks around like a kid in a candy shoppe.
* Finn follows Will.
[Will] Ooooh.. @_@
* Will whirls around the room.
[Miriamele] Ya just gotta take everything in stride, Audrey. ^_^ Don't worry, we'll be fine. :)
[Will] They can project images on glass! What is this...? So many buttons!
[Storyteller] Will can recognize the image floating over the table at the far end as a 3D schematic of the ship.
[Audrey] O_o
[Miriamele] Who'd have ever thought someone could be so.. uh.. caught up with the, uh, whirring things. ^_^;
* Finn crosses his arms and watches.
[Audrey] -_- I don't know. I'm used to magic....not...this....stuff.
[Will] ! Not only on glass! This is... awe inspiring. o_o;
[Miriamele] So, Will.. what does the big, uh, doodad-o-meter tell you? ^_^;
* Will scuttles over to the table and tries to put his hands on the image of the ship.
[Storyteller] They pass through.
[Finn] Or something...
[Audrey] Hehe...um.. :/
[Audrey] I just hope the others are all right...
[Will] Hmm... they must manipulate light in some way- huh? Doodad meter?
* Finn mumbles.
[Finn] With the exception of Criz...
[Machine Voice] Unauthorized Personnel in Medical Sections. Retasking drones.
[Finn] That sounds...err...ominous?
[Will] Uh oh. =/
* Audrey laughs! ....then stops when she hears the voice.
[Audrey] -_- See? SEE?
[Audrey] I knew this place was bad. :/
* Audrey pulls out her crossbow and waits for whatever is gonna jump out at them.
[Will] This can't be the medical section...? It must be Salah and the rest. =/
[Machine Voice] Reactor Maintenance in Progress... Completion zero-point-three-niner hours.
[Finn] It's okay...whatever these "drones" are, I'm sure we can beat them.
[Audrey] You think?
* Finn flashes a smile.
[Finn] Of course.
* Will looks dubious.
[Will] I don't know... there's probably a big amount of them for security... people who can build this kind of thing don't skimp on security. ^^;
[Audrey] I hate this. I have no idea what's going on...while the rest of you do...I feel rather useless...
* Audrey sighs deeply.
[Lyle] Not your cup of tea?
[Audrey] No...
[Finn] I know how you feel, Audrey.
[Audrey] Being in a shrine is more my cup of tea...
[Audrey] Using magic...
[Audrey] Studying the arcane...
* Will shuffles his feet.
[Finn] A mechanized world is no world at all...
[Machine Voice] Unauthorized Personnel in Command and Control. Activating Gatekeeper Control Console.
[Will] Well... to tell you the truth, I don't understand much of this at all... It's way beyond anything I'd ever seen- no!
[Storyteller] The blinking, beeping, flashing wall begins to split down the middle.
[Audrey] O_o Oh no...
[Will] Let's get out of here before we're trapped!
* Finn draws his sword.
[Miriamele] You think I have a clue as to what's going on, Aud? I'm so clueless about these electro-thingies...
[Gatekeeper] Sealing Security Doors
[Gatekeeper] Command and Control locked down.
[Finn] You guys go on first...I'll bring up the lead...
[Audrey] L-Let's get out of here...
[Storyteller] Thunk...
[Finn] ...or not.
[Storyteller] Thunk...
[Miriamele] ... oh oh.. O_O
[Storyteller] Doors close over both of the stairways.
* Will sighs. =/
* Miriamele's gaze darts back & forth, looking for a method of escape.

* Will takes the mace he took from one of the mechanics and holds it awkwardly in both hands.
* Finn blinks several times.
* Miriamele bunches up her face with a look of frustration. :P
* Lyle pulls out a pair of Lyle of Reza action figures with Kung-Fu Action Grip.
[Audrey] ...O_o Lyle? How are dolls going to help you?
* Lyle drops them on the ground next to him.
[Storyteller] They vanish as a pair of duplicate Lyle's join the party.
[Finn] Hey, neato.
[Will] That's... amazing. o_o;
[Audrey] Wow! :D
[Gatekeeper] Magical dispersion field coil discharged. Re-energizing... 33%
[Will] Right! Now we can really destroy this thing! =D
* Audrey cheers.
[Audrey] ^_^ That's incredible! Now if you could just do that for me...!
* Will pulls down his goggles over his eyes. =)
[Gatekeeper] Deploy local defenses.
[Storyteller] Wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwirrrrrrr...
[Storyteller] Two turrets drop out of the ceiling behind you.
[Audrey] Eek!
* Audrey jumps back.
[Will] Surrounded!
* Will looks at the turrets and back at the Gatekeeper.
[Will] Well... here goes!
[Audrey] Will...Be careful this time, okay? :/
* Will smiles at Audrey. =)
[Will] Don't worry! ^_^
* Will holds his heavy mace awkwardly with both hands, trying to keep it at a steady height. Swinging it backwards with an effort, he approaches the front row and swings the mace forward in a geometry-defying arc! "Hammer Swing!"
[Storyteller] PosiBeam takes 125 damage from Will's weapon skill.
[Storyteller] MDFC takes 91 damage from Will's weapon skill.
[Storyteller] CPU takes 103 damage from Will's weapon skill.

* Will stumbles back, quivering.

* Miriamele races towards the Auto-Mechanic... leaping up and somersaulting in the air, she pelts it's steely hide with a myriad of barbed darts only moments before she slams into it's side with her blade!
[Storyteller] Miriamele hits Auto-Mechanic for 21 damage. Critical Hit! Auto-Mechanic takes 85 damage.
* Audrey claps her hands together and chants lowly to herself. She begins to glow with a soft aura.
[Audrey] Althena...let your divine grace empower me...embrace me....enlighten me....
* Audrey finishes chanting, and feels her wisdom increase!
[Storyteller] Audrey's Wisdom rises by 64!
[Gatekeeper] Activate Interregetometer...
[Storyteller] The silvery-gray beam lances out of a location just above the center of the machine... It strikes Finn.
[Audrey] Finn!
[Will] O_o F-Finn!
[Storyteller] Finn looses 30 MP.
[Audrey] Not that thing again. :/
* Finn winces as a sharp pain lances across his head...
[Gatekeeper] Initiate auto repair system.
[Miriamele] Now I know why I hate whirring things.. :P
* Finn nods gravely to Miri.
[Storyteller] Auto-Mechanic uses 'Rector. Magical Dispersion Field Coil regains 79 HP.
* Finn rushes the Positron Beam and stabs it twice with his sword, then takes his dagger and rakes at it...
[Storyteller] Finn hits PosiBeam for 17 damage. Finn hits PosiBeam for 17 damage. Finn hits PosiBeam for 15 damage. Finn hits PosiBeam for 13 damage.
* Lyle wanders back, vibrating slightly...
[Will] A-are you all right? o_o;
[Lyle] Th-th-th-th-th-th-a-a-a-a-a-t-t-t-t-t-t w-w-w-w-w-a-a-a-a-s-s-s-sn't-n't a... good idea.
* Lyle shakes the vibration out...
[Gatekeeper] Magical dispersion field coil discharged. Re-energizing... 67%
[Audrey] That doesn't sound good...
[Will] M-magical.. dispersion...?
[Storyteller] The two turrets rotate around. A pair of beams shoot out, crossing just behind Miriamelle. They continue to rotate until the paired beams cross her, which is when the damage is done... PosiBeam hits Miriamele for 11 damage.
[Will] M-Miri! Are you all right?
* Miriamele flies forward, but manages to land on her feet.
[Miriamele] Agh! Y-yeah... I'm fine.. :P
[Audrey] Miri...
[Miriamele] I REALLY hate whirring things though..
* Audrey shakes her head.
[Audrey] I hate this place! :/
[Storyteller] They move some more. One of the beams passes through Will, doing no damage. When they both converge on Lyle, PosiBeam hits Lyle for 12 damage.
[Will] I know... I shouldn't have come here. =/
[Lyle] Ow! That smarts!
[Will] B-but... I'll do my best to help..!
* Will grips the mace determinedly and strikes out in one of those clumsy arcs at the Gatekeeper system! "H-hammer.. swing!"
[Storyteller] PosiBeam takes 126 damage from Will's weapon skill.
[Storyteller] MDFC takes 98 damage from Will's weapon skill.
[Storyteller] CPU takes 114 damage from Will's weapon skill.

* Will hops back to his former position, letting the mace sag against the floor.

* Miriamele tears into the side of the auto-mechanic once more with a bestial fury one would not expect to find encased in her slight frame..
[Will] D-don't worry about me... I got us all into this... I have to do something. ^^;
[Storyteller] Miriamele hits Auto-Mechanic for 19 damage. Miriamele hits Auto-Mechanic for 20 damage.
[Audrey] ^_^; I feel like such a mother hen today...
* Audrey points to Will, and makes a pattern of a star with her hands. "Cosmic heavens! Shower your light upon my ally and bless him with your glory! Star Shield!"
* Audrey fishes the spell and a bluish light swirls about Will, then fades.
[Storyteller] Will's ME raises by 40!
* Will looks around him, the light distorted by his polarized goggles.
[Will] Wh-what was that? O_o
[Gatekeeper] Interregotmeter discharged. Re-energizing. 50%
[Audrey] ^_^ My Star magic. That should protect you from magic!
[Audrey] ...and that was rather repetitive...
[Will] Th-thank you.. =)
[Storyteller] Auto-Mechanic uses 'Rector. Magical Dispersion Field Coil regains 88 HP.
[Audrey] It's no problem.
* Will smiles at Audrey. =)
* Finn stabs the PosiBeam again, first with sword and then with dagger...
[Storyteller] Finn hits PosiBeam for 15 damage. Finn hits PosiBeam for 18 damage. Finn hits PosiBeam for 12 damage. Finn hits PosiBeam for 10 damage.
[Gatekeeper] Magical dispersion field coil energized. Activating.
[Storyteller] All the magic characters feel sharp stabs of pain lance up and down their bodies. All the rounded characters get headaches. The combat characters just feel like somebody stepped on their toes. All MP costs have doubled!
[Miriamele] Agh! O_o
[Audrey] Miri!
* Finn wiggles his toes absentmindedly.
* Miriamele keeps standing..
[Miriamele] That smarts!
[Will] A-ack... m-my head @_@
[Storyteller] The intersecting positron beams slide over the party, this time the cross on Audrey. PosiBeam hits Audrey for 12 damage.
* Audrey cries out and stumbles back.
[Audrey] Ow ow ow ow!
[Will] Audrey!
[Audrey] I'm okay!
[Will] This thing has got to stop now! =/
[Storyteller] They slide away from her and re-intersect on Finn. Critical Hit! Finn takes 116 damage and is KONKed!
[Will] Ack... Finn...!
[Audrey] Oh no! Finn!
* Will picks up his mace again.
[Audrey] Don't worry, I'll revive him!
* Finn drops promptly to the floor.
* Will swings with crushing momentum at the Gatekeeper system and all its assorted parts and associates! "Hammer Swing!!!"
[Storyteller] MDFC takes 93 damage from Will's weapon skill.
[Storyteller] PosiBeam takes 119 damage from Will's weapon skill.
[Storyteller] Audrey takes 35 damage from Will's weapon skill.

* Miriamele calls out! "Strength of the Universe unbound! Make your fury felt! Anger Projection!!" A brilliant flare of light envelopes the half-beast girl for a moment. Miri now grits her teeth as the power of the cosmos courses through her veins..
[Storyteller] Miriamele's AP raises by 23.
[Will] G-go, Miri! =)
[Miriamele] We'll see. ^_^;
* Audrey closes her eyes and prays piously to the heavens. "Althena...bring the spark of life back to this fallen one! Revive Litany!" A beam of light shoots down into Finn's chest from somewhere above!
[Storyteller] Finn is cured of KONK and regains 19 HP!
* Finn gets up dazedly...
[Finn] Thank you, Audrey. :)
[Audrey] No problem....
[Gatekeeper] Interregotmeter energized. Activating.
[Storyteller] The silvery-gray beam again sweeps over the party.
[Audrey] Not again!
[Storyteller] It washes over Will, but doesn't seem to touch him. The barrier Audrey put up around him sparkles.
[Storyteller] The sparkles flicker and flash their way back up the beam.
[Storyteller] Interregotmeter destroyed!
[Storyteller] Audrey's spell collapses, returning Will's ME to normal.
[Finn] That was awesome!
* Finn grins.
* Audrey grins. "I like that spell."
[Will] Wh-whoa. O_o
[Will] If it wasn't for that barrier... ^^;
[Storyteller] AutoMechanic uses 'Rector. PosiBeam regains 103 HP.
[Audrey] We should destroy that thing that keeps healing everything else!
[Miriamele] I'm workin' on it.. :P
[Will] R-right! But it's very resistant!
* Finn snarls and rushes the machine, his sword stretched in front of him...
* Finn jams it into the CPU twice and then stabs with his dagger.
[Audrey] Just saying. :/ I'm sorry if I sound snippy...
[Storyteller] Finn hits CPU for 0 damage. Finn hits CPU for 0 damage. Finn hits CPU for 0 damage. Finn hits CPU for 0 damage.
[Audrey] ...oh dear....
[Finn] Well, wasn't that amusing.

[Lyle] Told you it was a bad idea.
[Will] N-no, not at all. ^;
[Lyle] Are your ears ringing now?
* Finn glares at Lyle.
[Finn] No, they are not.
[Storyteller] Lyle defends!
[Gatekeeper] Magical dispersion field coil discharged. Re-energizing... 33%
* Audrey prays that these strange whirring things would go away. ;_;
[Will] I'll try to help you with the.. the... auto mechanic thing, Miri!
* Miriamele grins.
[Miriamele] It's sure in for it now!
[Storyteller] The positron beams scan over the party again... First intersecting Miri, then Will.
* Miriamele moves to dodge!
[Audrey] Look out!
[Storyteller] PosiBeam hits Will for 53 damage. Will is KONKed!
[Will] A-aagh..
* Will collapses on the floor, smoking.
[Storyteller] PosiBeam hits Miriamele for 9 damage.
* Miriamele shrugs off the attack..
[Miriamele] Will!
[Audrey] No!
* Audrey shakes, looking angry.
* Miriamele spins back to the Gatekeeper..
[Miriamele] Alright.. now I'm really starting to get mad, you stupid scrap-pile!
* Miriamele, with a vocal yell, dashes towards the Auto-Mechanic, unleashing a plethora of darts as she races in! Deftly twirling her dagger, she then plants it deeply into the side of the Mechanic, raking it across some whirring things, leaving a jagged gash!
[Miriamele] HA!
[Storyteller] Miriamele hits Auto-Mechanic for 44 damage. Critical Hit! Auto-Mechanic takes 117 damage. Auto-Mechanic is destroyed!
[Audrey] Yes!
* Audrey jumps up in the air. ^_^
[Audrey] Now we can get serious!
* Miriamele spins to face the positron cannon.
[Miriamele] Alright! You're next! You... you... uh, doodad-o-meter-thingy!
[Audrey] Finn! Catch!
* Audrey tosses a starlight to Finn!
[Audrey] Use this so you can do those fancy moves with your blades!"
* Finn blinks at Audrey...?
* Finn grabs it!
[Finn] Thanks!
[Storyteller] Finn regains 15 MP!
[Audrey] ^_^ Don't mention it. Keep them busy so I can revive Will!
[Storyteller] Finn uses Herb! Finn regains 20 HP!
Boss Battle! Round Five!
Magical Dispersion Field Coil, Positron Beam, and Central Processing Unit remain.
[Storyteller] Lyle defends!
[Gatekeeper] Magical dispersion field coil discharged. Re-energizing... 67%
[Storyteller] The positron beam arc lingers on Miriamelle for a moment longer, then moves over toward Audrey.
[Storyteller] PosiBeam hits Miriamele for 14 damage.
[Audrey] Oh dear. This will...hurt me. :/
* Audrey braces herself.
[Storyteller] PosiBeam hits Audrey for 16 damage.
[Audrey] Aiie! It did! It did! ;_;
* Miriamele looks pissed.
[Miriamele] That thing is really... starting to hurt!
* Miriamele growls and lunges at the Positron Beam, tearing holes in it's side and sending bits and pieces spraying out all over the floor while muttering...
[Miriamele] Transistors... Resistors... LEDs... Circuits... Chips... Bleh! Stupid whirring things!
[Storyteller] Miriamele hits PosiBeam for 28 damage. Miriamele hits PosiBeam for 25 damage.
[Audrey] You said it, Miri!
* Audrey closes her eyes and prays piously to the heavens. "Althena...bring the spark of life back to this fallen one! Revive Litany!" A beam of light shoots down into Will's chest from somewhere above!
[Storyteller] Will is unKONKed. Will regains 14 HP!
* Will stands up dazedly. @_@
[Audrey] Will!
* Audrey smiles.
[Will] Woo... oh, hi Audrey! ^_^
[Audrey] Do you mind using an herb on me, someone? I'm going to see if I can drain some mana from this....thing.
[Audrey] If such a thing has mana...
* Finn starts running at the Magic Dispersion thing, leaps high into the air, then comes down hard on it with his sword.
[Storyteller] MDFC takes 156 damage from Finn's weapon skill.
[Will] Good job, Finn! O_o
[Audrey] Ooh! ^_^

[Storyteller] Lyle defends!

* Finn leaps at the CPU, sword outstretched, and buries it in its metal body...

* Will heaves his mace at the CPU! "Head Smash!"

* Miriamele unleashes her bladed & barbed volley against the CPU, her face set in determination..

* Audrey opens her eyes and smiles, raising her hands to the sky. She whispers a soothing, musical mantra... "Whisper of the goddess...hear my prayer...and help us in our time of trouble! Heal Aura!" A swath of light encircles the front row, and seeps gently into their bodies!
[Storyteller] Audrey does enough to heal everybody to full!
Boss Battle! Round Eight!
[Storyteller] Lyle defends!
* Will lets go of his mace and condenses a surge of electricity in his hands!
[Will] Thunder Bolt!
* Will shoots a blast of lightning at the CPU!
[Storyteller] CPU takes 47 damage from Will's spell.
* Miriamele flicks her wrist, and suddenly she's armed with a few small throwing daggers. She then lets loose sending a group of the small daggers hurtling towards CPU!
[Storyteller] CPU takes 221 damage from Miriamele's weapon skill!
* Miriamele glares at the CPU defiantly.
[Miriamele] HA!
* Audrey pulls out her crossbow and eyes CPU carefully. Squinting one of her eyes shut, she pulls back on the bow and a loud "twang!" is heard as the arrow is launched...
[Storyteller] Audrey hits CPU for so little damage, it actually gets healed!
[Storyteller] j/k
[Audrey] ....bleh :/
[Will] O-oops... ^^;
* Finn sighs, steels himself, and rushes the CPU once again.
[Storyteller] Critical Hit! CPU takes 8 damage. Finn missed! Finn hits CPU for 0 damage. Finn hits CPU for 0 damage.

* Audrey runs over and hugs each person happily, happy to be rid of the whirring thing.
* Miriamele flicks her tail a bit, and appears somewhat relieved..
[Miriamele] Whew!
[Audrey] That was great Miri!
[Lyle] Does that mean I can keep calling you Sweetie-Pie?
[Miriamele] We gotta get outta here before more come along. O_O
* Finn hugs Audrey back enthusiastically.
* Will looks particularly thin and exhausted.
[Finn] Yeah, let's move...
[Audrey] Will...you know...
[Lyle] Those doors are still closed...
[Audrey] You haven't eaten much in the last few days, have you?
[Audrey] Here...
[Will] N-no...
* Audrey hands Will an apple from her pouch.

* Miriamele looks around for a vent or air duct to escape through..
[Miriamele] Will... you know how the doodads work... is there an open button or something?
[Lyle] Hey, Will... You're pretty good with this stuff, right?

* Miriamele steps lightly, eager to be out of this place..
* Will lifts himself up.
[Storyteller] There are air ducts, but they're all sealed by the same security doors that closed over the stairs.
[Will] Let's see... there should be some sort of master lock for the doors...
[Lyle] Can any of you read um...
* Will looks at the different buttons and displays.
[Lyle] Whatever the hell this language is?
* Audrey watches Will do his thing. ^_^
[Miriamele] Just hit them at random? ^_^;
[Storyteller] It's hard to tell what is what with everything labeled in a foreign language. Although you do see a few sticky-labels on some of the controls on the holograph table.
[Will] I think we'll just have to trust our luck...
[Mechanical Voice] Gatekeeper Security System Inoperative. All drones revert to autonomous mode.
* Will tries some of the controls on the holograph table.
[Audrey] Be careful Will...
[Storyteller] There's a big one with "Vocal Override Interface" taped to it.
[Will] Look... I think this might help. =)

* Miriamele looks confused.

[Storyteller] The doors slide open, and you feel air flow, so the ventilation system is probably open too.

* Audrey looks impressed.
* Miriamele wonders something...

[Lyle] So, it's obviously computing things... That would make it a computer.

[Miriamele] Uh... Computer? ...can you uh, self destruct this place about a day from now with no bells and alarms goin' off n' stuff?
* Audrey giggles at Miri. ^_^

* Miriamele hmms...
[Will] Computer... display maintenance process in main.. uh... monitor thing!
[Mechanical Voice] Activating Main Viewer in Flat-Plane Mode.
[Storyteller] The image of the ship blinks out, replaced by a camera view of an even more imposing room. Two people appear to be working on some of the equipment. One, a man, is tall and blond haired, the other is a tall black haired woman. The woman turns around to fiddle with something as the man removes a component.
[Will] I-impressive...
[Audrey] ...Wait! That's Imogene!! What's she doing here...?
[Will] Imogene...? You know that woman?
* Audrey grits her teeth.
[Audrey] Yes, I do.
[Miriamele] Computer? Uhm.. Please begin self-destruction uhm, process in, uh.. 24 hours? ^_^; With no alarms or anything, please? Can you do that for me?
* Miriamele smiles at the display.
[Mechanical Voice] Processing... Directive unclear... Refine query.
* Miriamele kicks it.
[Miriamele] Just blow up in a day, okay?
* Finn laughs...
[Audrey] Computer...can you blow that mean blonde woman up? *smiles cutely at the computer*

[Finn] Hey Computer...who were the intruders you talked about before in the medical room?
[Miriamele] I get the feeling this isn't working.. -_-
[Audrey] -_- Ditto.
[Mechanical Voice] Unknown personnel in medical bay unknown.
[Finn] It's got a talent for redundancy too...
[Audrey] Computer, who are the two people in the...ergh...what room is Imogene in again?
[Miriamele] Computer? Can you make all the other computers n' stuff turn off, 'cept for you, and respond to only our voices? Please?
[Mechanical Voice] Power readings fluctuating.
[Storyteller] You see the man struggling with a large component... Imogene goes over to help him. The pull it out of it's housing...
* Will looks at the screen intently.
[Mechanical Voice] Main power disabled. Switching to secondary mode. Computer going into suspend mode until restoration of main power. Have a nice day.
[Storyteller] The screen blips out.
[Finn] Ack.
[Miriamele] O_O
[Miriamele] Let's go.
[Lyle] I think they broke something.
* Finn nods.
[Lyle] Anybody got a map?
[Audrey] ...
[Audrey] I'm never gonna find out what's going on with Imogene. :/
[Will] I have a map and a compass... we can use them outside to get our bearings. =)

[Lyle] I meant of this place.
[Miriamele] Nope! But if we had one, it'd take the challenge out of this. Let's go try those other doors. :)
[Audrey] Let's go!
[Miriamele] I wonder if some of those doors are still haunted?
* Finn runs to the doors and tries to open them.
[Will] Oh! Let's try the door at the end of the corridor below then!
[Storyteller] They're already open.
* Miriamele darts off. ^_^
[Will] W-wait!
* Finn shrugs and follows Miri.
* Lyle follows.
* Miriamele does so cautiously, of course. :)
* Audrey follows
[Storyteller] When you get to the door, it opens with that same swish.
* Miriamele shudders.
[Miriamele] Ghosts again... :P
* Miriamele peers into the new area carefully..
[Storyteller] There's a sign on the wall in front of you.
* Miriamele looks at the sign.
[Storyteller] Again, it's not in your language, but it has some paper taped to it.
* Miriamele squints at the paper.
[Will] It's not really ghosts... it's a complex mechanism... I think it somehow senses your presence and then opens the doors through electrical current... or hydraulic systems. =)
[Storyteller] One points to the left and says "Engineering", the other points to the right and says "Crew Quarters"
[Miriamele] I wonder which has less people..?
[Audrey] Um...Ghosts are easier to understand than whatever you just said. :/
[Will] ^^;
[Finn] Engineering.
[Finn] Quarters would indicate a sleeping area, right?...
[Lyle] Duh.
[Lyle] Let's go.
* Lyle heads off towards engineering.
[Miriamele] What if engineering is full of engineers though? That time of day is it? If it were daytime, they'd all be away from the quarters..
* Finn shrugs.
[Miriamele] I wish I could see outside.. :(
