Based on Hahn's Middleground IRC RPG System

DAZE
Dazed (Cured by Gong)
Sufferer of a Dazed effect will attack a random target each round with a random action. They will not use expendable items, but may use magic regardless of remaining MP. In some cases, depending on the nature of the Dazing attack, receiving damage will cure Daze status. Daze may wear off in a number of rounds based on the Effectiveness of the attack.

POIS
Poisoned (Cured by Purity Herbs)
Sufferer of a Poisoned effect will take damage each round with the first round being based on the Effectiveness of the attack. The second round will inflict double damage, the third triple, and so on. Magic, an item, or the character’s death cures poison status. In some cases the Poison effect may persist after combat.

KONK
Unconscious (Curable by Angel Tear)
Sufferers of an Unconscious effect are unable to move, fight, speak, or cast spells. This effect generally only happens when a character is reduced to 0 hit points. An unconscious character will be restored to 1 HP at the end of the battle.

SLEP
Sleep (Cured by Gong)
Sufferers of a Sleep effect are unable to move, fight, speak, or cast spells. The first attack on the character will cause the Sleep effect to be canceled. Sleep does not wear off.

PARA
Paralysis (Cured by Cattle Prod)
Sufferers of a Paralysis effect are unable to speak, move, or fight. Magic or an item can only remove the effect. Paralysis may wear off in a number of rounds based on the Effectiveness of the attack.

MUTE
Mute (Cured by Dental Pliers)
Sufferers of a muted effect are unable to speak. They may not converse with the other characters or cast magic (with the exception of any form of the second Song spell). Mute will not wear off.

BLIN
Blind (Cured by 3D Glasses)
Sufferers of a Blinded effect will have a greatly more difficult time of attacking their enemies. Blinded characters function as if they have a Hit % and Dodge % equal to 0.

STON
Petrification (Incurable by regular items)
Sufferers of a Petrification effect are unable to speak, move, or fight. This state is similar to being dead (Konk), except that it cannot be cured by items, only magic.
